Would you like to volunteer with a community garden to help improve local habitats? Now is your chance!🐌🌿
Robin Hood Community Garden, set up in 2010, lies in the heart of an urban neighbourhood, providing a welcoming open green space for the local community.🌳 They currently work to protect the area's biodiversity and play a key role in improving nature in a very built up urban environment. More widely, the gardens also aim to help mitigate against the impact of climate change🌏
The volunteering on Saturday will involve working on their new wildlife ponds and habitat creations. This includes creating gabions and hibernacula between the two ponds for newts, toads, spiders, insects, mammals and snakes.🐜🦔🐁
Even if you have never done any volunteering work before, this event is open for all levels of conservationists and is a great chance to get involved! To participate you will require a full NatSoc Membership (just £5 for the whole year), so just follow the link to the SU in our bio. We hope to see many of you there! 🍀
