Intramural Sport

TeamUCL Leagues provide the perfect mix of competition and fun...

Last year, we ran leagues across netball, basketball, badminton, football, and volleyball, with over 500 students taking part. It's a great way to get a group of friends together to socialise and play regular competitive sport.

High Performance Sport

UCL are no strangers to competing at the highest level. We offer high performance programmes to our sports teams competing at the highest level of BUCS as well as individual athletes competing Nationally and Internationally. Past and present UCL students include Christine Ohuruogu, Ebony Rainford-Brent, Isa Guha, and Team England's Deborah Alawode.

TeamUCL Events & Campaigns

Throughout the year TeamUCL run large scale events and campaigns that are often the highlight of the year. The events and campaigns we run are designed to celebrate the amazing things students do, raise awareness for important issues, fundraise for important causes and use sport as a tool for enjoyment and success! TeamUCL Club Development Report 2021-22
Introduction

Following interrupted years, sport was back with a bang at TeamUCL. Our sports clubs achieved some amazing things over the course of the season with record performances at regional and National level. Last season alone we competed in over 1000 fixtures and 42 events in both British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) and London Universities Sport League (LUSL). The 21-22 season will also be marked as one of our most successful seasons ever, with 5 teams reaching National Trophy Finals, 7 teams reaching Regional Cup Finals, 7 teams reaching LUSL finals, and a wealth of medals from our BUCS events.

We also saw a record number of students taking part in sports club activity with our membership numbers topping 7000! There is opportunity for players of all levels, coaches, officials, captains and committee members to get involved in sport whilst at UCL.

We also retuned to our in person Sports Awards held at The Bloomsbury Theatre where we crowned our Club of the Year and Sports Personality of the Year amongst a number of awards.
