Isaac Crichlow (PHD student) will be giving a talk focused on the agency of enslaved African people who were trafficked by Europeans into enslavement in the Americas. He will discuss the African traditions of Obeah and Kalenda which represent a living legacy of resistance to enslavement in the Caribbean.
