A week of festive events and activities
From Monday 2 December to Friday 6 December we're hosting Winter Festival: a series of festive events to celebrate the end of term before the Christmas break.
We've got loads of amazing activities to get stuck into throughout the week. From Festive Crafternoons, to Festive Walk and Talks with TeamUCL, and Winter Bar Crawls in our Students' Union bars, to name but a few!
We've also collaborated with UCL to throw two huge Main Quad Takeover days. Join in the fun on Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 December and get stuck into the carnival games, carol singing, society performances and live music performances. There will be a chance to snap a photo with Santa’s sleigh and you'll be able to enjoy the magical light show happening every 30 minutes. These events will run all day and be ticketed from 16:00, so book a free ticket to register your interest..❄️
On Tuesday and Wednesday there are two huge Quad Takeovers (our UCL collab) where you can expect to find delicious food and drinks, fair games, a light show and more.

Get creative with an Intro to Macrame class at UCL East on Thursday and book your ticket to our Winter Union Bar Crawl on Friday.
'Tis the season of good food and eating one more sweet treat than you should. All available from Monday 2 December what will take your fancy...
- Our popular Mulled wine is available in all our bars and Print Room Café
- For those with a sweet tooth you can grab a Gingerbread Latte in all our Union Cafés, why not pair it with an Apple and Cinnamon Muffin?
- In a rush? Christmasify your meal deal in Bloomsbury Shop as special Turkey Stuffing and Brie and Cranberry rolls are coming to our premium meal deal.
- Our Café's team will be popping up to bring you tasty waffles throughout the Main Quad takeover days.
- We also heard a rumour that some special Winter cocktails and mocktails could be coming to The Institute too...
Have you heard the news yet? The Hanger has a winter pop-up in the North Lodge of the Main Quad until the end of term!
That's right selling some cute accessories that are great for gifting or just to treat yourself the North Lodge is open 11:00 - 17:00 every weekday and 11:00 - 15:00 on Saturdays.
Our pop-up will also have special late night opening on our two Main Quad Takeover Days and will also be joined by a stall from the main Hanger stall with more of our clothing range so be sure to pop-in before it's gone!
Then on Thursday we're heading East! That's right we're also popping up in the Marshgate building on our UCL East campus as part of the Explore the East Pole festivities. We can't wait to see you. 🎄
