We are looking for a self-starter, creative, confident, friendly and enthusiastic with a passion for community causes, to work on an exciting community initiative called ‘Succeed 2 The Max’.
The Events and Outreach team contribution will help us to becoming a trusted sources for our beneficiaries and increase more engagement enabling our organisation to run more initiatives with them and double the impact. Therefore, fulfilling our ethos of a programme for young people and built by young people.

As part of the role, you will be working with the Founder to:
- Plan and develop strategic approaches to attract prospective stakeholders to engage with our charity
- Plan and coordinate outreach activities to attract prospective beneficiaries to attend our events.
- Plan, lead /co-lead in delivering, fun, inspirational and empowering sessions to parents and young people.
- Facilitate in group discussions with the audience in a vibrant environment.
- Monitor and evaluate each event through debrief with Project lead and collating participants’ feedback.
- Develop creative resources to showcase our impact
- Create and curate content for social media and marketing purposes
Events & Outreach volunteers will provide professional, proactive research, event assistance and admin support. The volunteers would also be involved in monitoring and evaluating each event, and facilitating collaborations. You will also work with the Founder to generate events in North-East of London, and King's College London.
This would entail numerous outreach activities to promote the events, building rapport with a number of stakeholders from schools, faith groups, community groups, guest speakers and other associates.
This role will be a fun and exciting opportunity for anyone interested in either developing or refining their event coordinating experience. It It is the perfect opportunity to strengthen your relationship building skills through liaising with a range of stakeholders; from our funders, to print suppliers, guest speakers, to the community and many others! If you are passionate about organising, innovative and community focused, or have experience in working with young people, we'd love to hear from you!
Promotion and Outreach
- Create digital and print promotional materials, such as posters and flyers
- Contacting local youth organisations, schools, sixth form and giving presentations
- Acting as a representative during external events, meetings and stakeholder meetings
- Develop new digital links and relationships with local supporters and organisations
The volunteer will be capturing speakers and the audience feedback through various and creative methods, i.e. feedback forms, video recording, sound bites, infographics, and highlights of the day and identifying ways in how we can improve and build upon the success. They’ll be collating a list of all the attendees’ details.
Audience Experience and Event Design
- Devising innovative ideas in in how we can engage attendees from invitation to the event and post event delivery.
- Structuring the event programme to a fine detail, regularly updating the programme in the occasion of unforeseen changes.
Event Logistics
- Working with the Founder drafting email and letter invitations to the target audience, booking guest speakers.
- Populating the event checklist from the planning to delivery and post-delivery tasks. Keeping track of the invitations sent out to potential speakers.
- Leading on meeting and events
- Where appropriate you will be preparing and circulating agendas and confidential minutes. Taking minutes were required.
- Ensuring AV requirements needs are met and other additional resources for the event on the day. Compiling a list of presentations in a range of formats.
Events activities
- Public speaking/workshop facilitation
- Capture photographs and videos of our activities, and adhere to our image/video consent practices
- Interviewing guests and potentially gathering information for a post-event blog.
