Magic Society: Publicity Officer

I am glad to apply for the Publicity Officer. With a strong background in media and communications, I am eager to contribute my skills and creativity to enhance our society’s social media presence and engage a wider audience.

During my undergraduate years, I served as a member and later as the Head of the Press Corps in my faculty’s student union. Over two years, I covered numerous events, writing articles and photographing key moments and served for official magazine. Additionally, I led publicity efforts for a project, managing a WeChat public account independently.

I bring a solid set of skills well-suited to this role. My training in the arts spans several years, complemented by university-level coursework in photography, graphic design, and video production. My experience in designing promotional materials is backed by achievements in competitions focused on poster and data visualisation design. Moreover, I am passionate about storytelling and skilled in producing educational short videos.

If given the opportunity to serve as Publicity Officer, I hope to make our society's activities more accessible and exciting by introducing interactive content. I would collaborate closely with the events team to ensure our promotions capture the vibrant energy of our gatherings and build anticipation across our platforms. My goal is to create a visually compelling and engaging social media experience that encourages more people to connect with the magic community and join our events.
