Life Science Society: Outreach Officer

Hello everyone! This is Emily, a second-year Biomedical Sciences student who’s running for Outreach Officer.

Having enjoyed participating in the society's events and seeing the committee’s dedication, I felt inspired to step forward and contribute myself. I’d love the opportunity to work alongside the team to make your experience with the society as enriching and enjoyable as possible!

As Outreach Officer, I will be responsible for managing our social media channels, ensuring that you stay informed about all events, announcements, and updates through platforms like Instagram and WhatsApp. I’ll make sure communication between the society and our members is always clear and engaging. And don’t worry—I’m practically always on my phone, so I’ll be quick to respond and keep you updated!

In addition to this role, I’ll continue serving as an Academic Representative this year, which gives me the chance to bring ideas from departmental meetings with faculty representatives and professors into our society. This connection will allow us to strengthen ties with the faculty, and potentially enhance our events and initiatives based on member feedback and faculty support.

Above all, I’m committed to supporting our committee and making sure your voices are heard. I hope to help create a space where each of you can connect, learn, and make lasting memories.
