Rachel Chan

Hi everyone! I'm Rachel, a second-year Psychology student from Hong Kong, and I am running to be one of your Secretaries this year. With a strong enthusiasm for history and human culture, I appreciate how museums and exhibitions connect us to the past while adding insight to our lives today. I’m eager to help our members explore London’s incredible range of exhibitions and museums together. In this role, alongside managing administrative responsibilities efficiently, I aim to foster a welcoming environment where members feel encouraged to share their interests and insights. This will allow us to design a variety of trips and activities that reflect the diverse interests within our community.

My prior experience as President of my high school’s Psychology Society strengthened my organisational and communication skills. Through organising various academic events, I developed a strong sense of responsibility and honed my ability to communicate clearly and work efficiently. Additionally, my current roles as a Transition Mentor and Course Representative have provided me with experience in liaising with both the Student Union and students in my course, further enhancing my communication and time management skills, qualities I am confident will serve me well in this position.

I look forward to contributing to the Museum Society and creating enriching and memorable experiences for our members through museum visits, exhibition trips, and other engaging activities :)
