Korean Culture Society: Events Officer

Hello, my name is Xeven and I’m running for Events Officer! 

I’m a 4th year Chemical Engineering Student and I’ve been a member of the Korean Culture Society since last year. I attended almost all of the events hosted, so I am very familiar with the activities that the society runs. On top of our regular events like Karaoke Night and KBBQ Night, I’d like to plan events related to K-Beauty and K-Skincare as well due to their rise in popularity in recent years. My overall aim as the Events Officer is to cater towards everyone who is interested in different areas of Korean culture, whether that be food, beauty, pop culture, or history. 

I have also been learning Korean for around 2 years and have taken the TOPIK exam, so I have a decent grasp of the Korean language, but of course I am not perfect yet! I look forward to improving my proficiency with everyone in our weekly Korean language classes. On top of improving my Korean, it’s important for me to spend time with and get to know our society members in these classes to learn what your interests are to plan future events.
