Hey, I’m Sam Schajer
I’m running for Social Secretary because I want to make Jewish life at UCL as fun as dancing to Moshiach, Moshiach, Moshiach at a Jewish simcha and as satisfying as that first bite of chametz after Pesach.
I want UCL Jewish Society to be the place where every Jewish student feels at home—whether you’ve been to every Shabbat dinner since birth or just discovered how good rugelach can be. No matter your Jewish background, or where you come from around the world, I want to make sure you feel welcome at JSOC.
Why vote for me:
Challah making nights
- Expect a night of carbs, braids, and serious self reflection where we ask the big questions, like why are my braids uneven? And why did I eat the dough before it went into the oven?
Paint and sip nights
- BYOB, bring your own Bartenura.
- I can’t promise the art will be any good, but I’m sure the company will be great.
Jewish Cultural trips
- Wanna know more about Jewish history in London?
- I’m here to run cultural trips that are as fun as those chol hamoed adventures you were schlepped on as a kid—just minus the matzah sandwiches.
Events for chagim/festivals
- UCL better be ready for chanukah lighting, latkes, donuts, and celebrations that will make every festival feel extra special!
Why I’m the social secretary for the job:
Inclusivity at Every Level
- I want every UCL Jewish Society event to be a place where everyone feels welcome—whether you grew up going to shul every Shabbat or are just discovering the joy of the jewish community.
