Running, Athletics and Cross Country Club: Social Media Officer

Hi fellow RAX-ers! I'm El :)

I am excited to put myself forward for RAX Social Media Officer! I previously held this role last year while studying abroad in Paris, staying committed to the team by managing our social media remotely and Eurostar-ing back for key events like UCL Medley Relay, BUCS, and Varsity. Now that I am back at UCL full-time, I look forward to contributing even more to the team that has been a cornerstone of my university experience!

This is my 4th year as a member of RAX, during which I have served on committee twice, gaining a deep understanding of what makes our club thrive. With 2024 marking my 10th year of competitive running, I have gained valuable experience racing distances from 200m to the marathon on track, road, and trail. Running has greatly impacted my life, and sharing that passion through creative social media content is a way for me to give back and inspire others.

My past roles as This Girl Can and Social Media Officer highlight my enthusiasm, reliability, and dedication to prioritizing the team’s interests. As Social Media Officer, I will use my visual editing, illustration, and design skills to boost our online presence. This includes launching a RAX TikTok for engaging and fun content, hand-drawn graphics and posters, creating a comprehensive, visually appealing newsletter, and reviving our website! 

This role allows me to merge my passions—art and running—to support you and the wider UCL community. Thank you for considering my nomination!
