Portuguese Speaking Society: Treasurer

As last term's Treasurer for the Portuguese Speaking Society, I am standing again as I have hands-on-experience and full training for this role. I am familiar with the Union's financial procedures, its website, and I have managed our budget effectively for the last months. 

Although I am a Comparative Literature student, I work with numbers efficiently and even took Accounting as my 1st year elective, which gave me further practical skills to manage finances accurately and responsibly. I always try to be as responsive as I can and make sure that all forms are signed and submitted on the same day they're created. Furthermore, I enjoy going beyond my role and suggesting new ideas for events, such as planning foodie trips to explore unique experiences like Brazilian-style sushi. 

If re-elected, I will continue ensuring that transactions are processed quickly,  that forms are submitted on time, and that everything continues to run without issues. My goal is to make sure that money is allocated to areas with a strong value for every member, transparently, and in a well-organised way.
