Project Active are teaming up with UCL Accommodation to provide a discounted Self Defence Class.

Krav Maga, meaning 'contact combat', is a self defence system that teaches practical, useful skills that can be used to protect yourself in real life situations straight away. It doesn't require extensive training or unusual physical skills - techniques are designed so that most people of average fitness can learn to use the situation and their bodies' natural abilities to keep themselves and others safe. In society, women are discouraged from using violence, but we need to learn to turn our aggression up just enough to deal with potential attackers, and enable us to confidently live our lives. Giving you a sample of defences against hits, grabs and holds, attacks on the ground, and even against weapons, this four-week course is your introduction to fighting back.

Each session is different and people are encouraged to attend more than one, ideally all four. They are however designed so you can understand and benefit from each as a stand-alone as well.
