New Year's Event: Write A Letter To My Future Self in 2025

Have you ever thought about writing a letter to your future self in 2025 or an important person in your life, or sending a meaningful item to yourself or that special someone, capturing the current emotions and expectations, and then opening it a year later to feel the passage of time?
Now, the opportunity has arrived! The Charity Department under UCLCSSA, once again collaborating with FarAway Express, is excited to launch the popular "Time and Space Post Office" activity, taking you on a journey through time.
What's more, this event is free and open to all UCL students! Free domestic shipping within the UK or pick up the item yourself at UCL Campus, in January 2025.🔥😍
Event Timeline:
1) Before 1st Feb 2024: Register through the link on SU Website. If you are unable to fill out the form but want to participate in the event, contact [email protected] for more information about registration!
2) Before 8th Feb 2024: Our UCLCSSA member will confirm your participation in the event by February 8, 2024 via email, and subsequently provide multiple letter/item submission dates and locations for you to choose from (e.g., 28/01/24, submit at IOE library 4th Floor).
3) Before 8th Feb 2024: You need to submit your letter/item to our member before 8th Feb 2024.
4) January of 2025 (Estimated): You will be contacted by our member and receive the letter/item. You can choose to pick up the items/letters yourself (from the FarAway Express UK store / UCL campus), or opt for free domestic shipping within the UK. If you need to send items to another country, there may be a cost involved (FarAway Express guarantees a minimum discount of £5 for shipping for all students).
What to submit: A letter or A flat item (e.g., a ruler / a photo, that could fit in an envelope)
1️⃣ Write a letter to the future: In this event, you can freely compose a letter to be sent to yourself or someone else a year from now. Use words to capture your current emotions, insights, and expectations.
2️⃣ Send a small item: What's even more exciting is that you can choose to send a small gift, allowing your future self or someone else to feel your care and blessings the moment they open the envelope. The item could be a photo of you and your friends, a handmade craft from your travels, or a special keepsake (but remember, it should be small enough to fit in an envelope so that we can preserve it properly throughout 2024🥰).
In The End: Free gifts given out!
In addition to this, we will randomly select 5 participants in the event to receive our specially prepared gifts, which will be delivered to them when they claim their items in 2025.
Time marches on with its unchanging pace, ticking away each second ⏰. Another year has passed, and 2023 has drawn to a close. Let's cherish the joys, sorrows, surprises, and disappointments of this year, as we step into the even more brilliant 24/25 years together. ❤️
