Interested in maximizing the positive impact you have with your career? Want to learn how you can help others most effectively with your unique skills and resources?

The Effective Altruism Society is welcoming former members of their community, UCL graduates, to talk about their impactful careers since finishing the Effective Altruism Intro Fellowship – an 8-week programme exploring the world’s most pressing problems and how students might go about solving them.

The speakers include Billy Nicholles (BA History, UCL) a Political Researcher at Bryant Research, working to accelerate the sustainable protein transition; Victor Abia Alonso (BSc Mathematics with Economics, UCL) doing technical research into the safe development of advanced Artificial Intelligence; and a special surprise guest.

If you are new to Effective Altruism and want to learn what it’s all about, and/or are considering applying for the Intro Fellowship, this is a perfect opportunity for you hear the success stories of former UCL students who were in your shoes.

The event, happening at 6pm on Tuesday, the 23rd of January in Room LG04, 26 Bedford Way, will consist of short presentations followed by opportunities to ask questions from and network with the speakers. It is open to all undergraduates and postgraduates from any disciplinary background.
