What is ArtsUCL?
ArtsUCL is our creative community here at Students' Union UCL, aiming to foster a positive, ambitious and inclusive environment. Encapsulating performance art, physical art, publication and more, the ArtsUCL community provides a platform and opportunities for creative freedom and expression for UCL students.
What can I expect from the Winter Arts Festival?
During the week...
UCL Christmas Light Switch On: Monday 4 December, 5:00pm - 6:30pm.
Workshops & Talks: Try out Singing as Life Practice, led by the wonderful Emma Bonnici, and explore your own voice. Delve into the Fundamentals of Acting with our own Head of Arts, Brodie Ross. Come and learn about the journey from UCL to the West End with our talk and Q&A with actor, producer and UCL alumnus, Joseph Kloska!
Theatre trips: Don't miss the chance to see some big shows at heavily discounted prices. Catch a Disney classic with our trip to see Frozen at Theatre Royal Drury Lane, or experience 'the West End's most haunting love story' - Phantom of the Opera - at His Majesty's Theatre.
At the Quad Takeover...
Main Quad Takeover: Our artsUCL Societies will be taking over the Main Quad Stage between 4:00pm and 8:00pm on Friday 8 December - see the schedule below and come and check them out.
Festive food: Our bars and cafes will be selling crepes, mince pies, mulled wine & apple, hot chocolate and beer. We've even got dinner sorted too, as we will be joined by Thursday Farmers' Market favourites - I Love Moussaka and Ceylon Kothu.
Christmas market: Pick up some gifts for your friends & family (or for yourself) at our festive market. You'll find crafts from independent sellers, as well as a pop-up stall from The Hanger. Check out the full list of vendors on the event page...

Festive drinks, anyone?
The Institute will be selling Winter Arts cocktails: 'Berry Christmas' and 'Santa's Sleigh' from 4 December until the end of term along with some Christmas spiced Negronis (with limited edition special batched gin). We will also be selling mulled wine from 4 December until the end of January.
