Join Project Active and TeamUCL Gym during Women Only Hours, for a lifting workshop, for This Girl Can Week
What to expect at Project Active's This Girl Can... Lift:
Project Active's This Girl Can Week will run from Monday 27 January - Sunday 2 February. We will be celebrating women in sport and inspiring all students to try something new or get back into a physical activity through a week of beginner friendly activities.
Project Active's This Girl Can activities are:
- Women Only
- Beginner friendly (no experience is needed)
- Low commitment
- Inclusive and welcoming
- A great place for making new friends
Upon arrival to the TeamUCL Gym you will be greeted by a friendly Project Active instructor in reception. You will have a chance to have a quick chat and get to know other participants before beginning your class.
During this session you will go over a mixture of lower body lifting such as squats and upper body lifting using free weights. Kristina will discuss technique and demonstrate appropriate warm up and cool downs.
Go at your own pace, there is no judgement in our classes and remember all classes are beginner friendly. So have fun, try a new activity and enjoy meeting new UCL friends at Project Active.

Location: TeamUCL Gym, 3rd Floor, Bloomsbury Theatre Building - Please meet ready at the TeamUCL Gym reception at 7:50am, ready for the class to start at 8am.
Equipment: A water bottle to stay hydrated.
What to wear: Please wear whatever clothing you feel comfortable in. Please wear flat trainers if possible (for example Converse or Nike Air Forces) and bring a water bottle with you.
Refund policy: all tickets are non-refundable unless there has been a class cancellation.
