Project Active Instructors

Hannah Legg

My full time job is with UCL’s Communications & Marketing team and it’s wonderful having the opportunity to teach Yoga as part of Project Active alongside this. I’ve been practicing yoga for about 8 years and qualified as a teacher in 2019. I offer fun and creative classes that get us out of our busy minds and back into our bodies and the present moment. The sequences have a particular emphasis on calming down our nervous system and releasing tension created from too much time at our desks. My intention in teaching is to create a welcoming space for you to explore the yoga practice, build strength and flexibility, and grow in confidence. You can expect a thoughtfully planned class with options for all levels of experience, and a great playlist!

Davy Vallecer

Hello! I'm Davy and I've been a Zumba®  instructor since 2011 amongst other group exercise classes such as box HIIT, barreconcept, Zumba toning and restorative yoga. I currently teach Box HIIT, Dance Fit and Barre at UCL Students Union' as part of Project Active.

Come as you are and move at a level that works for you. You can move anyway you like as long as you move, have fun and just be you. Benefits include: A total workout, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility, boosted energy and a serious dose of awesome each time you leave class.

Kirty Mody

I am a Vinyasa Yoga, Pilates and a Barre Teacher.  I have been practising Yoga and Pilates since 2011 and teaching since 2016.  Barre came into my life a couple of years ago and has taken me on a different journey of mental and physical health, which was why during the craziness of 2020 I decided to become a Barre Teacher. I love teaching and I strongly believe in using language that will promote body positivity, inspire people to become the teacher of their own body and encourage my students to discover what they can achieve. My style of teaching is fun, light-hearted and playful with a safe blend of flow and alignment; come and spend some time with me and let's see what adventures we can embark on together.

Konrad Polny

Sport and fitness have always been my passions; after graduating from secondary school, I was given the opportunity to study a sport course while playing football, allowing me to apply all my knowledge and put it into practise. After graduating from college, I worked as a personal trainer for several years before deciding to further my education in sport at the University of Derby.

Following achieving a second-class Honours in BSc Strength, Conditioning & Rehabilitation at the University of Derby, I was offered a Strength & Conditioning position with Team UCL. My time at university hasn't only increased my knowledge but has developed me as a person and professional. During my free time I volunteer as the Strength & Conditioning coach for Edgware town football club. Previously I have competed in Football, athletics, & volleyball which gives me a great understanding of the needs and requirements of all the different sports.

Luciana Triggiano

I’ve been practicing yoga for over 10 years and completed my first yoga teacher training in 2019. I hold 300h of yoga training under different styles of yoga and I’m currently doing my advance yoga teacher training.

For me, my everyday yoga practice is an inward journey where I connect with my body and feelings, finding inner peace. I believe that everybody can find a place of contentment within themselves, and it is my honour to inspire and assist others on their own yoga journey.

I teach a dynamic & playful vinyasa flow with focus on the breath and bodily sensations. I invite the practitioners to be present and pay attention to their unique experience of yoga.

Tori Bate

Sport and fitness have always been my passions; after graduating from Having original skepticism about yoga in 2017, Tori traveled to Nepal and Bali to seek deeper understanding. Her love for the practice flourished in 2019, and returned home to London to train. Tori is qualified in both Power & Yin Yoga and sees the balance between Yin & Yang energies as a constant inquiry of the body. The beauty of yoga is that it’s never truly complete and we become open to new growth opportunities each moment of our days.

Come join Tori for an immersive Yoga Nidra class taking you through Restorative Asana and Visualisation Meditations.
