Applications are open now! Final date for applications is 26 April 2024 at 12.00

Etc. is an exciting, structured learning opportunity, created through an Evaluation Exchange X Students' Union UCL X Kentish Town Community Centre collab. As you move through the 6-week hybrid programme, you will develop your evaluation practice as well as your consultancy skills, learning together facilitated by university and community-based experts.

You'll work in teams through a real-life project that a community client needs - your time and skills will not be wasted.

This year, you will be working on the challenge How do you evidence social value?

Worried about exams? Got a heavy coursework load?

It is really important to relax and take a break from revision and coursework. But that's easier said than done! We know what it's like, feeling guilty when you're trying to relax in front of the TV and you can hear your essay calling you from your desk!

Taking part in Etc. is a perfect solution - take a break, meet new people, flex your skills but in a really meaningful way. You'll still be learning, after all. How can that be a waste of time?

What happens during Etc.?

You will be matched to a community client and provided with an evaluation project to design, manage, and execute.

You'll work in teams in a fun and interactive way, online. Evaluation Exchange are experts at facilitating events online that are not just sitting looking at slides or being bumped in and out of break out rooms!

You are invited to work from Kentish Town Community Centre and work with the best, Dr Sarah Hoyle.

You will be celebrated! We are throwing an After Party at the end of the day to bring everyone together to raise a glass to you and share your stories.

Why should I be in Etc.?

  • Meet other students interested in evaluation and consultancy!
  • Network and work with key leaders in the evaluation and consultation spaces - Evaluation Exchange is a university and community collaboration itself!
  • This offers a unique integration of research expertise + evaluation expertise + being a change maker
  • Traditional careers not exciting you? Invest in the skills you'll need to carve out your own path after studying at UCL
