Polari was a language spoken by gay men in the 19th and 20th centuries in England. It was used to communicate between the gay community to avoid arrest and discrimination. In this lesson, get to learn about this amazingly interesting language in addition to other Lavender languages that were and still are spoken in Europe and beyond! This will be taught by me, Danilo (Social Secretary of UCL LGBTQ+ Network and President/Founder of UCL Esperanto and Endangered Languages Society - Please email me if you have any questions!
