This is a regional member engagement session for sustainability practitioners to have open-ended chats about their struggles, fears, frustrations, and coping strategies when it comes to experiencing and dealing with eco-anxiety.

The event will be informal and conversational, and we may also use break-out rooms and online boards to capture thoughts and emotions, and to encourage people who perhaps don’t want to verbalise.

The four general themes to be explored are as follows:

  • ‘things that make me anxious’,
  • ‘things that make me scared’,
  • ‘things that make me angry’,
  • ‘things that make me feel better’

We are not trained psychologists and this session won’t find answers to all our problems; rather, our hope is that through the simple act of talking, it will make people feel somewhat better, in an inclusive way, by showing them they aren’t alone and there is safety and solace in our shared experience.
