One quarter of professional men’s clubs in England could be flooded by 2050, but the 2026 FIFA World Cup is due to be the most carbon intensive event since World War Two. In this talk Barney Weston, Co-Director and Co-Founder of Football For Future, outlines his vision for what environmentally sustainable football can look like - from the non-league to the World Cup.

Football For Future are a non-profit working at the intersection of football, climate change, and environmental sustainability. They have previously worked with partners such as Nike, clubs such as Arsenal, Chelsea, and Wolverhampton Wanderers, and helped to deliver the largest player-led climate campaign in football history for the Women's World Cup in 2023.
