Description

Green Shoots Foundation is celebrating five years since the launch it's award-winning permaculture farm/ agriculture project in Cambodia.

We are coming together in the beautiful space in The Department Store- Brixton to celebrate this success. This will an evening event with food, drinks and music. We have organised for a band to play some Cambodia music ( 60s style) and we will have a chef serving a two-course Cambodian meal (mains and dessert).

Green Shoots will also have some produce from our farm available for a donation. This is a ticketed event and all proceeds will go towards our project in Cambodia. We are expecting around 60 guests.

Timings of the event are 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm. We request a commitment from all volunteers between 5pm and 9:30pm. This will include helping with set-up and clear-up in the evening. 

Duties

Duties range from:

  • Helping with set-up approx 5:30pm

Entrance:

  • Welcoming guests/ checking names on the guest list
  • Informing about cloak room facilities

On the floor:

  • Checking if guests need anything
  • Helping with food service
  • Helping musicians set up

 

Who will the volunteers be working with?
Volunteers will mainly work with myself, the operations manager at Green Shoots Foundation. On occasion the events team from the venue will also be available and our chef in the kitchen.
Training
Prior to the event we will have a call together to go through the running of the event, I will provide guidance on what the team needs to know and who to go to if they need help during the event.

Time commitment

We request a commitment from all volunteers between 5pm and 9:30pm. This will include helping with set-up and clear-up in the evening.
