Join the UCL Chaplain and Interfaith Adviser, Reid Humble, on an interesting and engaging visit to the ISKCON London Radha-Krishna Temple.

The temple is part of The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), otherwise known as the Hare Krishna movement. During the visit we will learn about the Vaishnava/ Hindu Culture, the monks' daily temple activities, and cultural aspects like food, dress, music, etc. Spiritual mantra meditations. There will be an Arati Ceremony at the end where we can observe the practical part of what we have learned.

Who?

This is for anyone who is interested in learning more about Krishna Consciousness. People from all faith and worldview backgrounds are most welcome to attend. All levels of understanding and knowledge are welcome, but it is especially suitable if you feel like you have a limited understanding of the beliefs, practices and identity of the Hare Krishna movement.

Why?

  • Strengthen good relations across faith and worldview difference by increasing understanding.
  • Increase awareness of a distinct faith community in the UK.

Schedule for the day:

  • 9:30-9:45 - Gather together inside the main entrance of the Student Centre.
  • 9:45-10.15 - Depart promptly at 9.45 and walk to the temple.
