Description

The One World Trust has spent decades researching issues around global governance and accountability and publishing the results. It promotes the exchange of innovative thinking around global governance, with the aim of improving equity, sustainable development and world peace. Current projects include:

  • Research to support the creation of effective and accountable global governance of Artificial Intelligence
  • Developing support for the establishment of a United Nations Parliamentary Assembly (UNPA)

The organisation is looking for a team of volunteers to carry out research and provide administrative support to its agenda on improving global governance, especially in relation to the governance of AI. The research will lay the foundations for the organisation's participation in the UN Summit of the Future in September.

Duties
  • To provide research and event management support for a One World Trust project (probably AI related – but could be ESG/SDG related).

  • To prepare for the UN Summit of the Future in September

  • To share in the communication and social media work of the Trust

  • To provide website support

  • To write blogs on elements of the AI Safety work

Time commitment

It would be important to envisage at least 100 hours volunteering over the next 3 months, though how the time is divided up is flexible.
