The Volunteering Service exists to connect UCL with London’s voluntary and community sector, primarily by engaging students in rewarding volunteering opportunities. We offer a volunteering brokerage, a student-led volunteering programme, co-create research opportunities, organise events and help UCL departments connect their students with course-relevant volunteering opportunities.

He is responsible for managing our Partnerships Team – developing relationships by working with contacts at organisations, colleagues across Students’ Union UCL, Professional Services, academic departments and our service to enhance, promote and deliver select UK-based volunteering opportunities to the UCL community. He is responsible for ensuring systems are in place to connect UCL students and staff with opportunities in London’s voluntary and community sector, and oversee his team's interactions with stakeholders.

Yasmin joined the Volunteering Service in September 2017. She is responsible for supporting our internal and external partnerships, in particular overseeing our one off opportunities programme, arranging events such as the volunteering fairs, and managing communications with stakeholders. Yasmin also manages our team of Promo Assistants and Photojournalists.
Administrative Assistants – Zsófia Bekker, Rishika George and Izzie Redman
Zsófia, Rishika and Izzie are our student staff team who each work two days a week in the office. They manage follow-up correspondence to students and our partners and administer our records. They also play an active role in sourcing and generating content for our opportunities directories and working with volunteers to tell their stories. You’ll be in contact with them as you engage with us to enquire about promotion, opportunities and what we offer as a service.
In addition to the core role, our Administrative Assistants have distinct project remits. Zsófia supports our event programme and provides support to our Student-Led Projects Team, Rishika oversees our Lloyds Scholars programme and Izzie supports us with our marketing and targeted communications.
They’re more than happy to advise on all things volunteering, and oversee our main [email protected] account.
