About Kith & Kids
We provide activities, opportunities, information and support for people with a learning disability or autism, their parents and siblings.
For all our projects and activities we are dependent on volunteers.

Our activities are currently suspended due to the Covid-19 outbreak, however we hope to restart as soon as we can, and we really hope to able to run our camp! In the meantime we’ve scheduled our training sessions for June.

Our Summer Camp
Sunday 23rd – Sunday 30th August near Guildford, Surrey.

We are currently looking for energetic and enthusiastic volunteers to join us on our action packed residential Summer Camp. On the camp you will be supporting one of our members with a disability to have a holiday they won’t forget.

Opportunity: London Legal Walk Event Marshal

As a marshal you will help us prepare the day, set up the street party and registration desks, and/or later be positioned along the route where it will be your role to direct walkers and offer support and encouragement as they go past. Afterwards you are invited to join in the fun at the street party on Carey Street.

Opportunity: Diabetes UK Events Volunteer

Come and show your support for people affected by diabetes by volunteering at our fundraising events – guaranteed fun-filled days out!

You can be a part of our unrivalled cheer squad supporting our runners, cyclists and walkers as they take on a range of exciting and challenging events. We will provide full guidance and support as you carry out a volunteer role with us.

With flexible opportunities available, you can join us for an hour or a whole day, whatever suits you best. Event days offer invaluable experience of working in the charity sector for an extremely worthwhile cause.

Opportunity: Residential children's holiday group leader

Free to Be Kids runs crucial respite breaks for inner-city London’s most disadvantaged children. Our breaks offer the opportunity for children to have fun, try new things, build their confidence and feel brave. The holidays are packed with nature and animal focused activities like kayaking down a river or den building in the forest. Without our breaks, many of these children wouldn’t have a holiday and many have never seen the sea, been to a farm or had a bedtime story. These experiences stick in the children’s minds for years afterwards and begin to help them see the world, and their place within it.

Opportunity: Festival Stewarding

To give valuable experience to volunteers in event management, organisation and leadership. Volunteer stewards help make the festival happen * from checking tickets, setting up venues for debates and managing the queues and crowds.
