We are a charity that harnesses the transformative power of play and exercise to help vulnerable children recover from complex trauma. Our goal is to nurture the confidence of every child we work with and develop valuable life skills to help them reach their full potential.
Volunteers will support children at Solidarity Sports after-school clubs. In practice this may be running through playgrounds with our children, doing arts and crafts, swimming, and many more fun activities. Volunteers will build a positive, trusting relationship with our children, and make them feel special and valued at all times during our projects.
All volunteers will be DBS checked before volunteering.
During the school term we have a 'Thrive' afterschool club running every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 3:30-5:30pm. It is based at St Clements and St James Primary School.
Your role is to provide support to our children during after-school clubs -- playing with them, encouraging them to try something new, cheering them on...
We ask that you bring your ENERGY, passion and enthusiasm to volunteering! Please also take initiative to help out with various tasks.
Time commitment
We completely appreciate our volunteers have other commitments so aim to be flexible, however as we work with children it's super important that volunteers are punctual and turn up to days you have signed up for.
