Hockey Club (Women's): 1XI Captain

Hi, me agaIN! I just love it too much and you know what they say, if it aIN't broke, don't fix it.

BeINg 1s cap this year has been great and whilst we've certaINly seen improvements IN league results and sportsnight turn-out, I believe we can work harder to be even better next year.

Agenda:

• Coach: I know this was an aim for this season, but I realistically started the search too late, I've already been lookINg around and INtend on triallINg coaches next term to have a few options by the end of this year.
• RUHC/INdoor: I've enjoyed playINg with and gettINg to know RUMS but despite best efforts we simply haven't been able to get full squads out on sat, so want to scrap this league and put the money towards an INdoor hockey traININg slot INstead.
• Enthusiasm for traININg sessions: think I can speak on behalf of all captaINs when I say it’s not always easy to get high turn out to traININg/matches. Some aims to INcrease numbers are more INterestINg sessions (should come with a new coach), competitive atmosphere (for team selection/startINg lINe etc.), higher energy to get people pumped on Monday evenINg (e.g., music, competitions).
• WHC fantasy league: may have to fINd a techy friend but thINk this would be really fun!

I've learned a lot about what works, what doesn't, what to do, what not to do and when almost all of my year leave for their excitINg years abroad, I thINk stayINg on as captaIN will provide consistency so the team can hit the ground runnINg come September!
