Women’s Hockey is an exciting, inclusive club that is always looking for new members! If you’ve played at school, at international level, or never before, come along and get involved. It’s a great way to make new friends. Our committee is passionate about the value of team sport as part of your university experience. We promote sport as an important component of physical and mental health, and the club is a ready-made support system as you make the transition to university.

There’s stuff going on six days of the week, so the club is what you make of it. All members train on a Monday, and then play in matches throughout the week. We compete in BUCS (British University College Sport) on Wednesdays, the East League on Saturdays in a mixed team with hockey Medics, and LUSL (London University Sports League) on Sundays. Additionally, there are mixed games with the Men’s club on Sundays.

Our social secs take charge on a Wednesday evening, with themed club socials every Wednesday (dress up recommended). We have a close relationship with the men’s club, who we celebrate big events with throughout the year. Christmas Ball, Varsity and Summer Tour are not to be missed. We are planning for all socials and in-person events to go ahead as normal.

We have an impressive volunteering record, raising over £10,000 for our club charity, Bloodwise, in 2019. Stay tuned for the new club charity, and our plans to make a difference.

Check out our stall at the Digital Welcome Fair on the 22nd of September and join us at the in-person Welcome fair on the 3rd October to find out more information about our club, chat with our committee, and register your interest to join. You can also email us, or find us on:
