Sikh Society: Treasurer

ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਾ ਖਾਲਸਾ, ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕੀ ਫ਼ਤਿਹ!

I’m Paramveer Singh and I’m a first-year Economics student and a proud member of the UCL Sikh Society.

After having been a first-year representative for the UCL Sikh Society, I have thoroughly enjoyed the social events and Sikhi talks but also met great people within the Sikh Society sangat. Through my experience as FYR, I have gained valuable insight into how events are structured and executed and combined with my passion for Sikhi would revere the prospect of joining the committee and further accentuating the affable environment created by prior committee’s.

As Treasurer, I will:

• Budget aptly to continue the maintenance and running of the Society, whilst also liaising with the President and Social Secretary to plan flagship events
• Generate additional funding revenues and sponsorship
• Create networking events with alumni and Sikhs of London in prestigious firms
• Create strong Charitable links and reinforce Guru Ji’s message of ‘selfless service’

Furthermore, my avidity for mathematics and economics would enable me to thrive in this role; I have been lucky enough to help my local Gurdwara’s finance team, assisting me to prosper as Treasurer.
