Joseph Wood

As a Geography student, I have interest in renewable energy and resource diversification and would like to use the skills learnt in my role as Events Director for Geography Society to enhance relationships with outside bodies. I would love to expand the society’s network to benefit members and enable them to develop their interests.

Cici Chen

My strong desire to build meaningful relationships, lead collaborative projects, and reshape public perception of sustainable energy practices drives my candidacy for the position of Head of External Relations at the Energy Society. Recognizing the importance of external relationships in achieving our goals, I am determined to use my strategic thinking and communication skills to form strong alliances with business leaders, government agencies, and educational institutions. With a thorough understanding of how energy decisions affect society and the environment, my goal is to lead outreach initiatives that inform and involve a diverse range of people. My previous experience, which included organizing industry forums and workshops, has equipped me with the tools to explain complex energy concepts in a clear and understandable manner. I hope to bridge the gap between our society and the larger community by promoting open communication and inclusivity, thereby creating a forum for open discussion about the future of energy. I am energized by the prospect of influencing policy debates and public perception, and I believe that my dedication, combined with my interpersonal skills, qualifies me to lead the Energy Society's external relations efforts toward a more sustainable and interconnected future.
