Electronic Music Society: President

Hi my name is Vir, I have been djing and producing for 3 years under the tag VYPERBOY and I’ve been at EMS since my first year. I absolutely love how fun, close and welcoming this community is and I truly believe this is the best society at UCL. After spending time at events and socials I have noticed that the community wants more! Therefore, as president I would strive to increase the number of events to get more dj’s behind the decks. I would also work with EMS production to start a release Programme for producers who might want to show their music under the EMS name! Finally I want expand our socials and presence by bringing in photographers/ videographers and more opportunities for amazing events. See you behind the decks ;) (PS: bring back EMS merch!)

As a committee member of EMS for my third year now - I've grown to love not only the substance of the society but the strong community it fosters, and I'm running for president to grow this network to a larger scale than before with many mediums of creativity.

As president this year I have strong ambitions to not only focus on the music within the Electronic Music world, but all of the other creative fields that are blanketed under it. I wish to create a team of dedicated audio-visual artists for our events, and for creatives of all background and abilities to come together to create decor for events that will be curated by all of us - not just a select few. With many events already lined up I wish to continue our upward trajectory and push the boundaries of what EMS has done in the past to increase the quality of the experience for all of us as best as I can.
