The Active Bystander Programme at UCL empowers students to recognise and challenge problematic behaviours, such as bullying, harassment, and sexual misconduct, fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment both on and off campus. UCL expects students to complete this training as a core part of their student experience on campus.

After completing the online module, join a 90-minute live workshop led by our experienced UCL student Workshop Leaders.

The live workshop builds on the knowledge gained in the online module and teaches you the practical skills to safely intervene should you ever witness a situation where someone looks uncomfortable or is being mistreated. The session explores real-life scenarios, and offers a chance for you to ask questions and discuss issues like bullying, harassment and sexual misconduct with your peers.

By completing the training, you’ll:

  • Learn what to do and how to safely intervene as an active bystander.
  • Gain practical skills to challenge unacceptable behaviour.
  • Connect with resources to support you and others.
  • Gain your certificate to recognise your training!

Over 45,000 UCL students have completed this impactful programme. Sign up now through this event link and help make UCL a safer, more supportive place for everyone!

This session will be held via Zoom and a link will be sent to attendees before the session.

To gain your certificate, you will have needed to complete the online module + online module feedback form, and attend a live workshop + complete the live workshop feedback form.
