We are having an exhibition on board of HQS Wellington, which focuses on the life of the South Asian Seafarers from the Seventeenth Hundred onwards. Our main goals are to preserve this historic ship and to educate public about the history of Navy, especially the Merchant Navy.
This year, we would like to talk about the diversity on board of the national ships and in addition to the artefacts and models, and seeing life on a real warship and we have Augmented Reality attractions to entertain and educate. We will open our exhibition on the 17th of April till the 17th of November, on Sundays and Mondays.
Training will be given prior to the opening day. Travel expenses will be paid and volunteers will get free lunch and refreshment on board, too. Please note that for this opportunity, we are asking our volunteers to provide us with a DBS Certificate which is less than 3 years old. If they don't have one, they can apply for one through our organisation.
