CARAS
CARAS is a community outreach charity based in Tooting. We support people of refugee and asylum-seeking background who live in South-West London. CARAS offers a range of services to local beneficiaries, such as women and youth groups, advocacy advice and ESOL classes, along with individual visiting support.
We are seeking volunteers based in London to support our lively computer classes in Tooting every Friday 10:30-12. Volunteers will support the CARAS Essential Digital Skills Teacher who will lead sessions, and will work closely with our community members to build their skills and confidence using computers. Volunteers will be supporting individuals with tasks such as: getting to know how to use a computer, using the internet, setting up an email address, and using Microsoft office. We intend to focus on employability, including CV writing and job searching, in these sessions.
Time commitment
Every Friday from 10.30am to 12pm during school term time.
