Opportunity description:

Just Like Us believes that all young LGBT+ people deserve to live awesome lives. If you’re aged 18-25, LGBT+ and live in or around London you could be an ambassador!

Our ambassadors form a network of friendly LGBT+ people who use their experiences to positively impact the lives of LGBT+ young people in the UK. Through telling our own stories we can all play a part in ensuring the younger generation of LGBT+ people grow up with the support and representation they need.

We have a diverse community of ambassadors from a range of backgrounds. You don’t have to be out to everyone to be an ambassador- we take steps to make sure you’re safe and how public-facing your role is, is totally up to you.

If you have any questions about volunteering for Just Like Us or are concerned about a barrier to volunteering please contact Josh at josh.buckland@justlikeus.org. For more information on volunteering with Just Like Us visit www.justlikeus.org/volunteering

Just Like Us ambassadors engage with schools and colleges in their local areas delivering talks and workshops on gorwing up LGBT+ and LGBT+ inclusion. We have given schools the option to book in-person and virtual talks from our volunteers at present. No volunteer will deliver anything in-person until they are comfortable, safe and ready to do so. Our ambassador training this year will be conducted entirely virtually this year. Other opportunities outside of school talks can be conducted remotely. We also take opportunities to check in with the wellbeing of our volunteer community.
