Here's what Phineas is about...
Phineas is our biggest Union bar, and whether you're looking for a space to chill out with friends during the day, watch some sport together in the evenings or dance the night away to some live music you'll find Phineas is the place to be.
As the spiritual home of TeamUCL, Phineas hosts our legendary Sports Night every Wednesday during term time and we show Live Sports all day Monday - Saturday.
Everything you love about a good student bar is here: great daily drink deals, pool tables, large TV screens, darts and some of the best staff (aka your fellow students). Do we have events we hear you ask? Oh yes, in addition to our sports screenings we have low key social events such as games nights, pool tournaments and sports quizzes, plus every Wednesday and Friday during term we let our hair down and throw a big event - think live music gigs, karaoke and good vibes. Make sure you check out @theunionbars on Instagram to see what's happening each week.
And we've got plans - coming soon we're planning to add a gaming zone connected up to one of our projectors, table booking and some more hot food options to go with our ramen pots.
Of course this space is also for you, so if you're looking for a bar to host a party or society event in then Phineas bar (along with Mully's, Huntley and Institute) are all available too book. The home of Sports Night is at Phineas, where TeamUCL come for £3.80 drinks every Wednesday night before heading to Scala Kings Cross, for the TeamUCL Sports Night Club Night.

Bar entry policy and safety
If you're visiting one of our bars, familiarise yourself with our bar entry policy, designed to keep us all safe. Please note unless specified last entry is Midnight.
We want you to feel comfortable, safe, and at home when you're spending time in our bars or event spaces which is why we uphold a number of safety initiatives in all our bars including specific measures against spiking and harassment. All our bar staff have also undertaken Drink Spiking Awareness and Active Bystander training.
