You may have found that you cannot log in to the UCLU website using your UCL account, because of a technical error.

Cause

This can happen when the 'Back' button is used during the login process, although there may be other, rarer causes.

Simple solution

Restart your browser. Close all the browser windows that you have open, and then start the browser again.

"Browser" refers to Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, etc.

Alternative (more complex) solution

Clear your browser's cache and cookies.

In Google Chrome, you would:

  • click on the Chrome menu icon  three horizontal lines) in the top right
  • click on "Tools"
  • click on "Clear Browsing Data..."
  • under "Obliterate the following items from" select "the beginning of time"
  • make sure "Empty the cache" and "Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data" (and nothing else) are selected
  • click "Clear Browsing Data" to confirm
  • try logging in to uclu.org again

  • Try another browser.
  • Use a faster or more reliable Internet connection (e.g. on a mobile, wait until you have a strong 3G signal, or Wifi).
