I'm eager to serve as PR Sec for our club next year, continuing the weekly UCNC match rundowns and maintaining a group chat for captains to share highlights. I aim to publicize home matches to boost support and enhance the playing atmosphere. I'll prioritize giving our social and postgrad teams more visibility, as they form a significant part of our club. This could entail training reminders, photos, and posts about session experiences, especially during the trial period and fresher's week. My experience as Development Officer has equipped me to engage with new members and promote our club's vibrant culture. I plan to collaborate with Seshball’s Instagram, introduce monthly member 'spotlights', post-match interviews, and increase the use of Instagram reels, live streams, and polls. I aim to grow our TikTok channel and share visuals of our kit to attract more members. My passion for digital media, creativity, and interpersonal skills, coupled with my experience in promoting our club, make me a suitable candidate for this role. Thank you for considering me!

I am running for PR sec as I would love the opportunity to contribute to a society that I am so invested in and have found a community within. I know that PR sec would be the perfect job for me because I enjoy creating cute edits and posts, and love to spend time managing feeds. I have experience working with editing apps such as Canva and Photoshop and promise to keep the Instagram up to standard.

In the past, I have run my team’s Netball Instagram and thoroughly enjoyed it. Some of my highlights included making funny reels of our worst moments, playing into the netball stigma by calling ourselves basketball girls’ bench, amongst all the regular posting of matches and team updates. I also currently run the Instagram for Kindle Corner Kids an NGO based out of the British Library that works with educating local kids in the area. I believe I am the optimal candidate because I am organised, responsible and promise to keep the Instagram as lively and aesthetic as it is at the moment. I would also add more features, more jokes and rebirth the TikTok.

I would love the opportunity to be your PR sec and couldn't think of a role that would be more suited to myself. Your votes would mean so much!

Hey! Having first connected with UCNC via the Instagram page during the months leading up to Freshers Week, I fully recognise how important Instagram is in showing potential members what being a member of UCNC is all about! I have an eye for detail so you can expect aesthetically pleasing posts that will make Matilda Djerf jealous. As well as the Instagram I also want to get on the TikTok grind as I think it would be a fun way to get everyone in the club involved.

For 2024-5 I would LOVE to get UCNC at least one sponsor. I love nothing more than hacking the system and getting good deals (at the Freshers Fair I got 18 free Misfits bars and 26 packets of Popcorn and finessed a free taster session prior to the curry night) and have my eyes on getting sponsorships with brands such as Misfits and MyProtein. I also think that as well as a curry night, UCNC should host a big bottomless brunch as I think that caters to lots of people – anyone who loves food, drink and chat!

Finally, although I look scary sometimes, I promise I am a nice person! I have loved my first year of being a member of UCNC and can think of nothing better than by spending even more time with some of the amazing gal pals I’ve met <3 I know how beneficial being a member of a friendly, fun community can be and would love to help maintain and enrich that atmosphere for next year!
