Juri Yano

Hi, I’m Juri from Tokyo:)
I’m very excited to run for the President position to make it an even more welcoming and open environment!

I will do this by:

1.    Follow-up posts and live stream of events on Instagram:
To let non-members get an idea of what the events are like making it easier for them to come to events!

2.    Online feedback forms accessible by members:
So members can have a say in what they want to improve the society!
*I will also share corresponding outcomes and progress with the members

3.    More and more collaborations with other universities and societies:
So we can network with others who have similar interests, like Kendo societies in non-London universities online as well!

4.    Keep all the good stuff already in Japan society!:
To keep it one of the best societies with welcoming events, regular pub socials, language lessons, Undo-kai, Nihongo-nights and more!

5.    Ask lots of questions to current committee members!:
I am not part of the committee now, so I’ll try my best to bring my ideas and of course yours to real life!

Why me?

Leadership experiences as a course representative (Current) and a peacebuilding lessons facilitator (High school/Yr13)
My passion to spread Japanese culture and to make Japan Society a better place!
I did both level 2 and 3 Japanese language teacher this year and attended events regularly

I really want to make Japan Society an even better place, so please vote for me!!!!

Thank you so much for reading it till the end!!!
