Moyi Su

Hi everyone, my name is Moyi and I study Economics. I am running for the position of VP of Events at UCLIS.

Having been part of UCLIS as an analyst at UCLIF and involved in numerous events, I understand the positive and pivotal role UCLIS has for students interested in a finance career. This year’s experience helped me gain valuable insight into the financial world and prepared me with essential skills, so I hope to have the VP role in Events to allow everyone to freely network and learn from others.

In my current positions at UCLIF and LSC, accompanied by experience in organising MUN, NGO and Charity projects back in high school in Greece and establishing connections with top-tier Chinese enterprises during internship, I’ve organized collaboration across schools, coordinated logistics, and reached out to sponsors and speakers. Alongside my understanding of UCLIS’s inner intricacies, I’m equipped with the abilities necessary to effectively carry out the responsibilities of the VP of Events. 

If I were to become the VP of Events, I would:

• Sustain popular events like alumni networking sessions and pub socials for ongoing engagement.
• Broaden our reach through cross-university events and increased collaboration with other societies.
• Offer skill development bootcamp to enhance financial expertise among members.

Being an outgoing person with past event planning experiences and passion for finance, I believe I am a strong candidate for this role. Thank you :)))
