Hi, I am Rania Iman, a second year PhD student in Cognitive Neuroscience and I am running to be your UCL FoMSF President!

I have always admired the work of UCL FoMSF and I have previously collaborated with the society. As the UCL string orchestra manager in my undergraduate, I organised a Christmas fundraising concert for the World Without Tuberculosis charity in which UCL FoMSF collaborated with us to raise awareness and funds. I would like to further develop these collaborations between UCL societies and beyond to raise more awareness and funds for MSF’s work.

Through my previous leadership role within the music society, as Transition Mentor, and PGTA this year, I have developed valuable skills of leadership, decision making, organisation, creativity, interpersonal skills and effective communication. I wish to foster an inclusive and united feeling within the society and support the committee members in their role and goals. I wish to encourage all students, regardless of their field of study, to engage in UCL FoMSF. In an increasingly interdisciplinary world, the most impactful endeavours emerge from a mosaic of diverse perspectives and talents.

I believe FoMSF can have a real impact on people and society, especially during this challenging time. With a firm belief in the power of innovation and action, I hope to bring my creativity and dynamism to contribute to the meaningful mission of FoMSF, fostering positive change and resilience within our community and beyond.
