Lilia Simonov

Hi everyone! My name is Lilia and I'm a first year student studying Earth Sciences. I currently play for the 2s and would love to be one of the social secs next year. And I hope after reading this you'll vote for me :)

I believe that the social aspect of any sports society is essential. With a good social experience being key to provide opportunities to: meet new people, develop friendships, get to know teammates better, and more. As your social secretary I would love to be given the opportunity to plan and run events that encourage this social environment. 

I would prioritise providing a fun, engaging and rounded experience across the socials. Including a variation of themes and events that appeal to a range of audiences (including sober socials). With the addition of some weekly rules and more joint socials with other sports societies. And also plenty of notice to organise your themed outfits and prepare for the night!

Previously, I've had experience planning and running various sports and educational societies in my previous college. With the ability to organise efficiently and being an outgoing person, I believe I'm suited for this position. Having already attended most, if not all of the socials this year (and attended Scala a lot too). I'm happy to commit to being there every Wednesday, and hope to encourage more engagement and increase the number of people who attend socials weekly.
