Sophia Lorvo

Hi! My name is Sophia, and I'm a Second-Year Undergrad in Crime and Security Science! 

As a huge football fan, I started out in the 3s in my first year, where I experienced how a society can help someone feel at home at uni. This year, I joined the 2s, where great coaching and the chance to play alongside talented players taught me a lot about the sport I love. By also becoming Welfare Officer, I learned how to work alongside a team when running a society.

I believe that I have what it takes to be President – I pride myself on being organized, outspoken, extroverted, and most of all deeply caring about UCLWFC! Being elected would be an honor, and I will work to make the club excel by holding bimonthly committee meetings and surveying members through polls on Instagram and anonymous Google Forms. 

Socials will be posted by Sunday night, and I will work with the Social Secs to mix these up weekly – joining other societies, pub golf, more karaoke, watching women's football, but also sober activities like movie nights! My goal is for UCLWFC to be one entity on Wednesday nights, and not split up between teams.

I will also bring back our volunteering opportunities, get new club kits (starting with the 3s), organize buses to away games, and dedicate time and energy to Varsity to show King’s that London is purple ;) 

I am open to any suggestions to help make this club the best it can be. I hope to lead UCLWFC to your satisfaction if I am elected and I am ready to give hell!
