I am dedicated to ensuring that every medical student is able to derive the most from their time at Medical School. I want to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages active participation, intellectual curiosity, and ongoing personal growth for every student within RUMS.
With a keen eye for detail, and a deeper understanding of the diverse issues that confront medical students at present, I am confident in my ability to represent varied opinions and interests of our student body effectively and with unwavering commitment.
As your Preclinical Academic VP I would strive to:
- Strengthen the communication of student input and respective staff responses by streamlining feedback mechanisms.
- Continue to advocate for exam feedback that aligns with the areas students believe they would derive the most benefit.
- Re-initiate a centralised document to promote research and supra-curricular opportunities available to all.
- Restructure and update the wonderful Treasure Trove, to ensure resources are current and easy to both submit and access.
- Enhance collaboration with RUMS Societies and Welfare to facilitate individuals’ access so that all can benefit from the tutorials, mentorship and RUMS families. I would work with these groups to reduce barriers to participation and increase awareness of opportunities available.
- Launch academic advisory panels where senior students can share their experiences and insights with younger students.
