Dear MedTech members,

I’m Luna, some of you may know me as one of this year’s AI Executives. As I run for Vice President of our well-established society, I recognise it is not a role that one ever feels prepared to take on. Nevertheless, I am confident that my experience, hardworking and friendly nature, and high standards make me an ideal candidate for the position.

As AI in Medicine Executive, I worked with the committee to bring the AI in Medicine Conference to life. In organising this event and participating in many others, I got to know my incredible colleagues and was highly involved in the organisation of the society. I believe this first-hand knowledge of MedTech’s inner workings and complexities will help me fulfil my role as VP to the highest level.

Our current leadership team has successfully guided the society to carry out many of our first in person events in years (e.g. Women in MedTech, AI in Medicine). As your Vice President, I’d like to honour their accomplishments by working hard to continue what they so skilfully started. I hope to create more opportunities for MedTech members to meet, whether it leads to fascinating conversations, lasting friendships, or emerging business projects. I also aim to optimise the organisation of the team to ensure another successful year of MedTech events!

I am determined to help foster the positive, hard-working and intellectually curious mindset at MedTech, and would be delighted to be one of your VPs in the year to come.
