Being a part of the UCL IndoSoc team would be a huge honour for me as I would like to be involved in an organisation that creates a “home away from home” for everyone. As a member, I had the most fun organising events and socializing with fellow Indonesians. I am hoping that as vice president, I will be introduced to a new team I can call “family”, one where we can pour all of our creative energy to provide service to the society.

I am assertive, empathic, and respectful toward others. I believe that as a leader, one has to make sure that all members are heard, respected, and included. This may not be an easy task, especially in an organisation where there are several divisions. However, my social experiences have taught me to adapt to new people and collaborate with other co-workers, hence why I am running for vice president.

My experience volunteering for Habitat for Humanity Indonesia and starting a fundraising event called “Gaming vs Covid,” where I was elected vice leader, taught me what it takes to lead. We managed to raise $3,000 from over 300 players participating in several tournaments.

With the responsibility and passion I hold, I am able to step out of my comfort zone and bring unique ideas to life with others. I can’t wait to work with other members of the society to create an enjoyable year ahead!
