Shreya Verma

Hi I’m Shreya and I’m running for sales and marketing officer for Hindu Soc. Having attended many Hindu Soc events, from the socials to the club nights to garba, I have grasped the main selling points which attract the most number of people. I understand the work and commitment that goes towards organising these incredible events and above all the essential marketing which must precede them. 

Having previously been managing director for a Young Enterprise company during sixth form, I have experience marketing and selling products. Throughout this process, I played a key role in not only verbally pitching our product to buyers but also making fun and engaging content on our social media platforms. Skills I gained from this include effective communication, teamwork and significant experience with social media. I then developed these through the creation of my food account, “shreyacantcook”, on instagram where I review different cafes and restaurants helping other students discover the best places to eat!  

In my free time, I enjoy making and posting TikToks, which has progressed my creativity and understanding of the algorithm. I believe that TikTok is the best way to reach the greatest number of people and I trust that, with the rest of the committee, we could market and sell events on a substantial scale! Overall, I am enthusiastic, love talking to people and would greatly value marketing and selling Hindu Soc events.
