Scuba Club: President

Hi there!

My name is Rasmus and I am a 2nd-year Natural Sciences student running for president at the Scuba Club.

From an organisational perspective, I have a deep understanding of the society as the previous social secretary; large scale operations management knowledge as Non-Executive Director at LetsLocalise; marketing strategy skills from working with some of the largest brands in Europe (for instance SONOS and Harry Styles' song Watermelon Sugar), and representative experience from being one of the largest educational influencers in Scandinavia.

My leadership experience can mostly be attributed to managing an international team of researchers for six months via the New York Academy of Sciences, as well as spending seven months in a Swedish education policy-making advisory board. I have also been a class representative at Natural Sciences for two years in a row.

My passions for water sports reach far wide. This is exemplified through my experience as a Swedish free-diving instructor; I have extensive scuba diving experience with 10+ years under my (lead-weighted) belt; and am a national silver medalist in Underwater Rugby. My aspiration is to grow the UCL scuba diving community as your president and to provide as much value as possible to our members through effective leadership.
